Your Cache and Our Feeds

It’s only been a day since the launch of the new TDS, and already the traffic has been unbelievable! We really have got to hand it to the Street Team. Their work in the past day has been amazing. The new mission had barely been up for an hour and we’ve been seeing their Twitters, Facebooks, and Tumblrs abuzz. You guys are awesome. Keep it up!
(For those of you who want to be part of this noise-making crowd, it’s not too late! Head on over to the Street Team website and sign up! You can also add our PicBadge to your profile photos on Facebook, Twitter, and all the other sites that support PicBadge.)
Before we continue, we’d just like to address an issue that some people have been experiencing. If you’ve ever been to the old TDS site, and if you frequented it by any chance, your browser would have kept the browsing history in its cache. Before the launch, whenever you typed in “www.theaterdownsouth.com” or “theaterdownsouth.com”, the site would redirect to the old home page, which was on www.theaterdownsouth.com/Site/home.html. If your browser still has this information post launch, if you click on a link to the new site, or type in “theaterdownsouth.com”, you might get redirected to the old home page URL and be greeted by an error page (the lucky few who saw this, say Aye!), since the old site is no longer there. If this happens, the solution is simple: clear your browsing history and your cache, refresh your browser, and you should see the new site by default! Problem solved!
Now, to business!
Like we promised earlier, we’re gonna talk a little about the blog’s powerful RSS features, for all of you out there who like feeds. Our blogging platform, WordPress, is pretty amazing. They’ve built in some pretty useful feeds so you can subscribe to all blog posts, categories, tags, authors, and even comments! To do this, you need only give your RSS reader the URL of the feed you want.
